I am going to send a story out every day in January. I've picked the ones that need the least research. They are also mainly flash or micro pieces.
Revise and send out. Repeat.
Hopefully 'get published happens somewhere in the process in the process.

Continuing with the NANOWRIMO novel, which I didn't finish in November 'cause I was making bears 'cause that paid.
Sent out this wacky piece I wrote years ago. In rejecting it (also years ago), an editor made some comments that I took as truth. I pulled it off that pile of stories (I chose 45 that I'm going to revise and send out first) with the intent of revising but I read it and decided that editor was wrong.
An acceptance from Pure Slush for another anthology. Yay! I love the editor, Matt Potter!

Wrote an essay and sent it off
Scary because most things I've been submitting have been coming back.
I'm excited to see if it makes the cut.
Got another to go revise.

NANOWRIMO Day 16
Still writing. I have never written past day 15. So happy.
AND
the writing is really good in some places. Some is key word.

NANOWRIMO-Day 2
My word count is way behind, but I'm writing. I am not good at managing my time; at the computer, I am so easily seduced by the internet. (And I've got bears to make.)
But I wrote today and I'm happy with the words I got out. Very happy, though they were few.
Tomorrow, I'll find a space of time to do it again.
Next day, repeat. And then again.

NANOWRIMO
Very slow start to this novel writing.
59 words in an hour.
Not good. (in the voice of the Russian guy in "2012")

Excited, excited!
Been working out a non-fiction piece in my head and suddenly--a book about writing, a video, a Facebook post--all with information I need!

Writer's research
"Please."
"No."
"But I need to know for my
story."
"I'm not closing you in my
trunk. What if somebody sees me."
"We'll do it when it's
night."
"Oh, that won't be
suspicious."
"I can't finish the story
unless I know if you can hear me scream."
"Okay. But you better hope I
don't leave you in there."

I wrote a story
Writing is a luxury these days, but I finished one of those 60+ works stacked by my writing desk.
Struggled because I DID NOT want to edit some of the stuff I wrote because sometimes I'm so in love with my own words. But you have to "kill your darlings" to have a strong piece and now I do.
Sent if out.
Now, to finish another story. . .
