Still writing.

NANOWRIMO-Day 2

My word count is way behind, but I'm writing. I am not good at managing my time; at the computer, I am so easily seduced by the internet.  (And I've got bears to make.)

But I wrote today and I'm happy with the words I got out.  Very happy, though they were few.

Tomorrow, I'll find a space of time to do it again.

Next day, repeat.  And then again.

Very slow start to this novel writing.

The Book Festival is going on right now.  I never posted pics from my time there last year. 

Stuff I picked up while I was there:

Pitched to an agent.  Informative. He said send me something.  Ha!  Agent #4 who would be interested if I just had a book!

Went to a workshop and did this:

Excited, excited!

Been working out a non-fiction piece in my head and suddenly--a book about writing, a video, a Facebook post--all with information I need!

Grrrrrr

I hate when the jacket description is better than the book!

"Please."

"No."

"But I need to know for my story."

"I'm not closing you in my trunk. What if somebody sees me."

"We'll do it when it's night."

"Oh, that won't be suspicious."

"I can't finish the story unless I know if you can hear me scream."

"Okay. But you better hope I don't leave you in there."

I've been in a slump and haven't written much.  But what I've sent out keeps coming back.  Ouch

I wrote a story

Writing is a luxury these days, but I finished one of those 60+ works stacked by my writing desk.

Struggled because I DID NOT want to edit some of the stuff I wrote because sometimes I'm so in love with my own words.  But you have to "kill your darlings" to have a strong piece and now I do. 

Sent if out.

Now, to finish another story. . .
